“Legal Prosperity” Public Foundation

“Legal Prosperity” Public Foundation is a non-profit human rights organization. The Foundation is the de facto successor of the Youth Human Rights Group Public Association. The organization has been working since 1995 in promoting human rights and principles of democracy in the country and in the region. The fund operates in Bishkek.

The key priority areas are:

  • Program of monitoring the implementation of international human rights obligations through the promotion of legal reforms which comply with international human rights standards and contribute to the development of civil society and democracy;
  • Program of Promoting Freedom from torture in Kyrgyzstan. The work is aimed at improving legislation on freedom from torture and basic guarantees of human rights in the field of criminal justice;
  • Civic Initiative Promoting Program. The main goal of the program is to strengthen the capacity of young leaders to promote youth participation in decision-making processes at the local and national levels.
